Introduction

The Synkli mobile app offers a Trip Log Book feature designed to help you manage your travel records effectively. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up your Trip Log Book, from creating a deductions profile to adding and configuring your vehicle for trip tracking.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have the following:

• 
  Synkli mobile app installed on your device
• 
  An active account with login credentials
• 
  At least one vehicle for which you want to track trips
• 
  At least one deductions profile setup successfully

Setting Up a Deductions Profile

To access the Log Book menu, you must first create a deductions profile. Follow these steps:

• 
  Open the Deductions menu from the main app screen.
• 
  Set up at least one deductions profile by following the on-screen instructions.
• 
  Once the deductions profile is configured, the Log Book menu will become accessible in your app.

Adding a Vehicle

After accessing the Log Book menu for the first time, you'll need to add a vehicle:

  On the No Vehicle Added screen, tap the Add Vehicle button at the bottom.
• 
  This will open the Trip Logbook Profile screen, where you'll enter your vehicle details.

Configuring the Trip Log Book Profile

Fill in the required information on the Trip Logbook Profile screen:

  Registration Number: Enter your vehicle's registration number.
• 
  Vehicle Make: Specify the make of your vehicle.
• 
  Vehicle Model: Provide the model of your vehicle.
• 
  Current Odometer Reading: Input the current odometer reading.
• 
  Odometer Reading Frequency: Choose how often you will update the odometer reading.
• 
  Type of Vehicle: Select whether the vehicle is a Car or Motorcycle.

Once all fields are completed, tap the Next button at the bottom of the screen.

Selecting Travel Options

The next screen presents a travel estimation question:

Do you expect to travel more than 5000km?

  No
• 
  Yes (default selection is Yes)

Based on your selection, choose one of the following methods:

• 
  Trip LogBook (default selection when Yes is chosen)
• 
  Cents Per KM (selected automatically if No is chosen)

Make your selection and tap the Save button at the bottom of the screen.

Finalizing Vehicle Setup

After saving your travel options:

  The next screen displays a card with the recently added vehicle.
• 
  You can either:
  
  
  • Select the vehicle card and tap the Next button to proceed.
  • Add another vehicle by tapping the Add Another Vehicle button and completing the setup steps again for each additional vehicle.

Using the Trip Logbook Dashboard

Once you've added and selected a vehicle, tapping Next will take you to the Trip Logbook Dashboard. Here, you can:
